Phillips, Maceyko and Battock, PLLC
Professional Experience
Emily began her legal career practicing white collar criminal defense with a prominent national law firm. She then went on to establish and operate her own general civil litigation law firm. Years later, the focus of Emily’s practice shifted to defending real estate salespersons, brokers, and attorneys against professional liability claims. After years of defending clients against both criminal and professional negligence claims, Emily was introduced to community interest law. In recent years, Emily has served as general counsel for associations to ensure statutory compliance, litigating injunctive relief lawsuits against property owners to obtain compliance with governing documents, pursuing foreclosure actions against owners delinquent in their payment of assessments, and successfully defending associations against claims for violations of both the U.S. and Arizona Fair Housing Acts, including actions before the City of Phoenix and the Office of the Arizona Attorney General.
